CASCADE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF
ABOUT CASCADE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF.
Opened on the 6th of May 1946 at its current location, the Cascade School For the Deaf was established by the Trinidad Association in Aid of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (currently the new name is Trinidad & Tobago Association For The Hearing Impaired- TTAHI). The school is a government school, i.e. recognized by the Ministry of Education, however, the school largely depends on donations and fundraisers to assist with purchasing sign language books, games, activities, etc. for the students.
